Lechoker_ Amazon Affiliate Case Study – Month 10

It’s the 10th month of my case study, and I wanted to share the progress with you guys.

Lifestyle

For those who don’t remember me, I am a law graduate who lives in Turkey. I quit my job to create this website with the hopes of never have to do law again.

I did my compulsory military service from the start of the 12th of October. So, I haven’t even been able to log into the website for a month. But things are going good, and I feel like the website is on the right track.

Before getting into the business, I want to get something off my chest. It still amazes me how lucrative affiliate marketing is for people who live in third world countries. Turkey is not an easy country to live in. Because it is a politically messed up Islamic country that is economically weak. Affiliate marketing is changing my life in the sense that it is giving me freedom like nothing else can. I’ve always been pissed off for the card I’ve been dealt, but it looks like I managed to turn the tables around thanks to affiliate marketing.

It feels like I am out of the limitations of Turkey. Because I’m making money in high-value currencies and I don’t even have to go to a soul-sucking job anymore. I also plan to move to a small town, a heaven-like place called Kas when I get to 1,000 Dollars. I learned that you can rent a huge place with a big garden for around 150 Dollars. I feel like it will be possible in 4-5 months.

Anyway, enough with the blabbering, let’s get to the business.

What Have I Been Up to?

I haven’t set up goals for October since I was in the military for most of it. But the site did well, and it continued to develop when I let it sit. Also, luckily, nothing went wrong when I’m away and not being able to log in was not a problem.

Content

I wrote 16,614 words at the beginning of the month before going to the military. That gets me up to 237,310 words and 116 articles in total.

Traffic

I planned to write as much as possible before leaving so that the contents that I published sit when I’m gone. It looks like my plan worked, and I saw significant growth in October.

That is some real growth from the previous month. I started to get between 180-200 visitors a day. So, I assume that I will get around 6,000 visitors in November.

I also made £56.05 with the Amazon UK and $23.52 with the Amazon Canada affiliate program. So, I made approximately $456,87 American Dollars in October. My salary was around 550.00 Dollars in my old job before I quit. So, I am almost there.

You shouldn’t take into consideration my click counts and conversion rates. Because I was getting spammy clicks, and it messed up with the numbers. But it seems like I don’t get them anymore, and I will get correct numbers in November and will report them.

Goals

My usual goal is 40,000 words and 10 links. And it will be the same this month. Because I always go for consistency and it worked until now. I feel like good things will happen in the upcoming months.

Thanks for reading guys. See you next month!
