I hope you’re all doing good. It’s been a fine month for me, and I wanted to share my progress with you guys.
What Have I Been Up to?
I’ve been mostly focusing on content, and I also spent some time getting some backlinks. I am happy with the current progress and hopeful for the future.
I’ll be spending the next two and a half months just working on the website, which is pretty good.
Let’s get to what I did regarding the content and other stuff.
Content
I wrote 30,913 words this month, which brings me to 137,834. Although it is not that bad, I feel like I can do better next month.
As of now, I have 64 articles in total. I’ll be satisfied when I have 90 or so articles (I’ll probably won’t lol).

I’m happy with the growth. Some of my articles started rank this month.
But Google doesn’t seem to care that much about long-tail keywords anymore (I’ve heard that on Authority Hacker and it was coherent with my experience).
So, I can’t rank for long-tail keywords like “Best Nail Clippers for German Shepherds with Sensitive Stomachs” because Google just ranks “Best Nail Clippers for German Shepherds” at the top of the page. That is just absurd in my opinion, but there’s nothing to do about it.
Clicks
(I applied for the affiliate program at the beginning of June.)

I also made 8.60 £ in the Amazon UK affiliate program. I’ve already made 1/5 of my lawyer salary, which is ridiculous.
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting to make that much this month. I am getting a lot of clicks, which is pretty sweet. My conversion rate seems to decrease, but I did some tests which lowered it a little bit.
Backlinks
I reached around 100 people to write guest posts on their website. Six of them have accepted it(three of them haven’t published the articles yet). I haven’t paid for any of it.
Also, when I get my payment from Amazon, I’ll reach out to more people and try to pay for some links.
Goals
My goal is to write 40,000 words this month. I also hope to get as many backlinks as I can.
